Sodification and salinization

Soil salination and sodification is one of the soil degradation processes.

Definitions, classifications, causes and solutions are summarized in the attached document, prepared by the Europena Community and publushed on Fact sheets.

These fact sheets are based on the findings of the ‘Sustainable agriculture and soil conservation’
(SoCo) project. It is part of a package of ten sheets organised around the three main topics of the
