Cycloxydim is a herbicide, which could be used and applied on crops without any restrictions. In the EU (under CLP) its classification as reprotoxic is under discussion with a probabale outcome of "no classification".

- Physical form: Colourless, odourless crystals; ( tech., yellow beige crystals, with a weak aromatic odour; dark brown oil above m.p.).
- Density: 1.12 (20 °C); Melting point:c. 41 °C;
- Flash point: 119 °C ( tech.);
- Vapour pressure: <0.01 (20 °C);
- Henry constant 8.14×10-5 Pa m3 mol-1 ( calc.);
- Partition coefficient(n-octanol and water): logP c. 1.36 ( pH 7, 25 °C).; pKa:c. 4.17;
- Solubility: In water 40 mg/l (20 °C). In acetone, ethanol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, toluene >1000 (all in g/ kg, 20 °C). In n-hexane 29 g/ kg (20 °C).;
- Stability: Stable at room temperature for 1 y; unstable above 30 °C; decomposes c. 127 °C. DT50 in argon atmosphere at 20 000 lux (simulated sunlight, 15-20 °C) >192 h; in air at 80 000 lux (simulated sunlight, 20 °C).
- WATER SOLUBILITY: Tech: 0.0053 g/100g at 20°C.
Toxicology
- Oral: Acute oral LD50 for rats c. >5000 mg/ kg.
- Percutaneous: Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats >2000 mg/kg.
- Non-irritating to skin and eyes (rabbits).
- Inhalation: LC50 (4 h) for rats >5.28 mg/l.
- Phytotoxicity: Non-phytotoxic to all broad-leaved crops, when used as directed. Phytotoxic to graminaceous crops

Ecotoxicology:
- Bees: Non-toxic to bees; LD50 >100 μg/bee.
- Birds: Acute oral LD50 for quail >2000 mg/kg.
- Daphnia: LC50 (48 h) 132 mg/l.
- Fish: LC50 (96 h) for trout 220 mg/l , bluegill sunfish >100 mg/l.
Environmental fate:
